Day 2.Heraklion – Archeological Museum – City/Food Tour & Pastry Lesson-Visit Pastry History Museum

Enjoy a food and cultural walking tour suitable for all ages – it is an easy 1.5-mile walk, so you can explore the heart of Heraklion city while learning about its unique history and culture. On this tour, you will try local “mezedes” Greek coffee with bougatsa while enjoying the city of Heraklion. The images and the flavors that take you on this journey.

Then visiting Heraklion Archaeological Museum was founded in 1908 to house the first collections of Cretan antiquities, which were rapidly enhanced. Its cultural riches cover seven millennia, from the Neolithic period (7000 BC) to Roman times (3rd cent. AD). Following the restoration work of the past few years, completed in May 2014, the exhibition is housed in 27 rooms.

The next stop to the Unique Pastry History Museum. The museum opened its doors on 1-7-2021 and currently includes 400 rare exhibits with 32 unique in the world!

We will have a short tour of the production area. You see utensils, materials, and machines that our chefs need! We learn the production, conditions, and specifications and talk about the daily life of the confectioner-baker profession! We enter the specially designed space where the seminar will take place: on the subject of chocolate and its history! We show how we process it. We make chocolate eggs or filled chocolates! We learn to make our cornet out of paper! You write your name in “cornet” and make drawings on paper!

Day 3. Agios Nikolaos – Cheese Making – Cooking Class

Experience hands-on cheese-making in Crete with our local shepherd. You’ll milk and feed the goats, help make two types of cheese, and learn the secrets of cheese-making. Enjoy a cheese tasting with famous Cretan cheeses and savor the freshly-made cheese with homemade meze and raki.

After cheese making, you have a hands-on cooking experience. You have the opportunity, and with the guidance of a chef, to learn to make authentic Cretan plates using a wide range of fresh, organic ingredients from our garden. After the cooking class, you will sit down and enjoy the meal you’ve learned to cook, accompanied by local wine.

The town’s graphic has a beautiful Lake and port. The lake (“Voulismeni”) is a folklore-inspiringly deep body of water connected to the sea by a narrow inlet.

Day 4. Food & Walking Tour of the Old Town of Rethymno-Pottery Workshop –Olive Oil and Honey

The route: of authentic Crete: We stroll around the city, and let’s taste together the products of the Cretan Diet. We shall touch and smell the herbs and spices of Cretan soil. On our way, we will visit a traditional place in the heart of the old town of Rethymno, where tasting traditional products such as local cheese, honey of thyme, local wine, Cretan olives, and the famous Cretan traditional drink raki, and many other products. During the tour of the city, you will discover historical monuments. You see the Venetian architecture of another era.

The Olive Oil Tour: The quality of Cretan olive oil is known all over the world. At the olive mill, you have the opportunity to taste three different olive mills. You see how olive oil produced in the old days with manual tools and with the help of animals. Honey -Tasting & Tour: Taking part in the tour Is an unprecedented experience for the history and production of Honey in Crete. The bees, these unpredictable alchemists, fly from flower to flower, finding hidden gems, the juices of fruit, and the nectar of each land. Pottery workshop: Margarites village is famous for its ceramic tradition. In our workshop, we receive visitors from all over the world to get to know Cretan Ceramic Art to see how we make the pots on the wheel, how we decorate them, and how they are baked in the oven to reach their final form.

Day 5.Heraklion Knossos Palace – Cooking Class with Wine Experience – Wine and Olive Oil Tasting

Today you will visit the Palace of Knossos, built 3500 years ago! The Palace of Knossos is one monument you must see in Crete.

Discover and explore the History and Culture behind the Cretan diet with the company of our two executive hosts. Our chef will demonstrate and direct you to making four different Cretan dishes, and our certified sommelier will share with you our knowledge regarding winemaking on Crete. This experience will offer you expertise in making Authentic Cretan Dakos, Handmade Cretan Pasta or Handmade Cretan Pies, a homemade recipe from scratch, and a traditional dessert. At the end of your experience, you will enjoy the recipes you made with wines of our Estate which will pair harmoniously. You have a Cooking Class of four different dishes, lunch followed by food and wine pairing with a selection of four wines.

The Domaine Paterianakis is located in Melesses, in the Peza wine region, right in the center of Crete. The third generation of the Paterianakis family, Emmanuela and Niki, continues the wine tradition of organic farming, creating authentic Cretan wines with strong personalities. Winery, located within vineyards, is a pioneer facility built so that winemaking that done naturally, exploited by gravity. Guided wine tasting has five different select domaine wines. Taste our tsikoudia from a local grape. Tasting a virgin olive oil and accompanying tasting with a platter of selected Cretan cheeses, deli meat, and handmade marmalade.

Heraklion is the largest city of Crete and one of Greece’s major urban centers.

Welcome to Athens! In the city that gave birth to Greek culture and was the point of reference for the entire world. The driver will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel. There you will have the opportunity to try the hotel’s cuisine through a welcome dinner.

Day 2. Athens City Guided Tour with Acropolis and Acropolis Museum with Group

On this Acropolis and Athens neighborhood tour, your guide brings you to some of the most magnificent monuments in the entire world. It’s an experience where the stories of the city’s past connect us to our present, and you can see for yourself, that it’s not that different. Expect plenty of mythical stories, mixed with some fun history, on a skip-the-line experience at the Acropolis.

Explore the expert-led Athens city tour and museum visit by taking a pleasant brief stroll past Herodion and Dionysos Theater to reach the Acropolis Museum. Bypass the queues at the new museum. Key highlights such as offerings, objects from daily life, sculptures from the archaic era, Caryatids, and the Parthenon Hall featuring metopes, pediments, and frieze, will leave a lasting impression on you. r

Day 3. Mykonos – Mykonos Free Day

After breakfast, you will transfer to the vibrant Greek island of Mykonos. The Cycladic island in the Aegean Sea boasts glamorous resorts overlooking the azure waters, breathtaking beaches with golden sands, and a spirited nightlife with chic bars, trendy cafes, and colorful dance clubs. Today you will explore the treasures of Mykonos Town, weaving through the labyrinth streets to discover the island’s history and contemporary charms. In the evening you may join the festivities at dazzling restaurants on the main strip or visit a quiet village to tuck into traditional Mediterranean meze.

Day 4. Mykonos – Explore Greek Mythology on Delos and Rhenia Beach

This Cruise departs from Mykonos every day at 10:30 am Boat arrives on the island of Rhenia at approx 11:15 am, where you will have time to swim sunbathe, and enjoy the homemade Greek lunch. 2 pm departing for the famous Island of Delos to visit the archaeological site (12 € entrance). If you don’t want to see Delos your captain will also allow you to visit another beach near Delos and continue swimming while the rest of the group explores Apollo’s birthplace. 4 pm departure back to Mykonos.

Day 5. Santorini – Crescent Cliffs

The new day arrives and brings with it the fabulous light bouncing off of the reflective water. After breakfast, you will have a private transfer to the marina where you will board a hydrofoil and cruise your way to Santorini. The most celebrated island curls in a crescent shape around the vibrant caldera. The cliffs are tall over the sapphire water as you disembark the boat. In the short distance, you can see the rising peak of the volcano that has created and shaped Santorini’s gorgeous landscapes over time.
A private transfer will greet you at the harbor and take you to the sensual seclusion of your hotel.

Day 6. Santorini – The Majesty of a Sunset Cruise in the Caldera

There is plenty to see and do on the island of Santorini, and you may catch the sunrise from your balcony as you look forward to your adventures. Tours around the island will introduce you to the cosmopolitan charms of Fira and the traditional pleasures of Oia. You will stumble upon a selection of delightful tavernas and browse brilliant boutiques as you discover the island more deeply. In the evening a catamaran cruise will whisk you across the sea to coves and lonely beaches where you may relish the spectacular sunset over Santorini.

Day 7. Santorini – An Enchanting End to Your Adventure

Should you want to appreciate all that you can before you leave, you can enjoy an early stroll around the marbled lanes of Oia. You will create unforgettable memories and collect souvenirs from charming emporiums scattered across Santorini as you spend every second savoring adventure. You may also feel the soft Santorini sands between your toes or swim in the sapphire sea one last time before you gather your things and transfer to the airport for your connecting flight to Athens, then home.

In Crete, you will explore Cretan cuisine, you will to learn about the Mediterranean diet, enjoy local food, and taste local wines and Cretan products. 

Day 6. Heraklio – Knossos- City and Food Tour

Visit the palace of Knossos. It was built 3,500 years ago and was the seat of the wise King Minos. Intriguing myths of the Labyrinth with the Minotaur and Daedalus with Icarus, are linked to the palace of Knossos. This walking tasting and food tour is the fantastic array of dining that Heraklion has to offer. You will have to identify him and wander the charming Heraklion, starting with iconic sights such as the open-air market find a lot of food and local products.

Afterward, head to the town of Nauplia for a brief visit, then journey through the plain of Argos to Mycenae. Explore the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon to gain insight into classical Greek culture. In the afternoon, travel to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, for an overnight stay.

 

Day 4
Visit Olympia- Delphi

Following breakfast, visit the archaeological site of Olympia to see the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium, and the archaeological Museum. Travel through Patras to Rion, and cross the Corinthian Bay via the famed bridge to Antirion. Pass by the city of Nafpaktos and continue along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In the afternoon, explore the charming mountain village of Arachova for an overnight stay in Delphi or Itea.

 

Day 5
Visit the archaeological site of Delphi- Kalabaka

Start the day early and visit the archaeological site of Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enter the Delphi Museum to view numerous artifacts and relics dating back to the 15th century BC. Proceed to Kalabaka via Central Greece for an overnight stay.

 

Day 6
Visit Meteora – Athens passing Thermopylae

In the morning, visit the nearby Meteora to see the awe-inspiring Byzantine Monasteries, a UNESCO World Heritage site home to over 20 rock monasteries. Return to Athens in the late afternoon, passing by the heroic monument of Leonidas at Thermopylae.

 

Day 7
Athens – Departure (from airport/port)

Then you will be picked up by a private taxi driver who he will take you to the port or airport.
