Explore the historic Venetian Loggia and the majestic Cathedral of Agios Minas or the Church of Agios Titos, The Venetian Castle of Heraklion ”Koules,” the Castle is a massive fortress with two storeys that used to guard the entry to the port (entrance fee to the castle 4€ p.p). Visit the unique ‘‘Pastry Museum” includes 232 rare exhibits with 32 of them being unique in the world !! Each of these reveals unique aspects of Cretan heritage.

We start in the heart of the city and go to the Platia Kornarou, where we first visit a small family owned shop selling high quality cheese and taste a few with a shot of raki.
Then enjoy a cup of Greek coffee, prepared the traditional way in hot sand.
A short walk to the central market and stop for an ouzo (anise) with meze (small bites to accompany the spirit) at one of the traditional mezedopolion.
We will be part of the noisy and vibrant locals! Visit the cathedral of the city – Saint Minas, and then the Morozini fountain, the Venetian church of Saint Marcus which is now gallery, and the church of Saint Titus.
You will also gain to taste local products finger food and wine in traditional local shop.
