Mycenae- Nafplio and Wine Tasting day tour from Athens

Day Tour Corinth Canal-Mycenae-Nafplio-Lunch

Day Tour Corinth Canal-Mycenae-Nafplio-

We will travel through the Canal of Corinth, which connects the Gulf of Corinth to the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. This canal cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth, effectively turning the Peloponnese
peninsula into an island. Our next stop is Mycenae, one of Greece’s most significant archaeological sites. We will visit the famous Palace, the Lions Gate, and the Tomb of King Agamemnon. Mycenae was the largest and most
important center of the Mycenaean civilization, which dominated mainland Greece, the Aegean islands, and the shores of Asia Minor during the late Bronze Age era (circa 1600-1100 BCE). Welcome to Nafplio! This city is considered one
of the most beautiful and romantic in Greece, and it was also the first capital of the country from 1823 to 1834. We will have lunch here and explore all that this charming town in the area of Argolis has to offer. “During our visit to a local winery, we will have
the opportunity to taste local and foreign wine varieties.” – This information is redundant because the previous sentence already explained that we will be visiting the Corinthian Wine Route and a local winery, which implies that we will have the opportunity to taste local wine varieties.

Nafplio

Welcome to Nafplio! This city is considered one of the most beautiful and romantic in Greece, and it was also the first capital of the country from 1823 to 1834. We will have lunch here and explore all that this charming town in the area of Argolis has to offer.
The most photographed spot of Nafplio –and its point of reference as well– is Bourtzi, the Venetian small fortress standing on the rocky islet of Agioi Theodoroi.
